Non-Woven Swabs
Choose sterile non-woven swabs in sealed peel pouches or non-sterile nonwoven pads in bulk packs and dispenser boxes. Both are folded fibre-web pads, also called nonwoven compresses or sponges.
- Sterile: specify pads per sealed pouch, pouches per box and required sterilization documentation.
- Non-sterile: specify pads per pack or box and packs per shipping carton.
For either format, include the folded dimensions, layer count, fabric weight and quantity in your enquiry.

Frequently asked questions
Which folded sizes can I specify?
Typical square pads measure 5 × 5, 7.5 × 7.5 or 10 × 10 cm when folded. A 10 × 20 cm rectangular pad is another catalogue format. Specify both dimensions on the RFQ.
What is the difference between ply and GSM?
Ply counts the layers in one folded pad. GSM is the weight in grams of one square metre of the base fabric. Two four-ply pads can have different fabric weights.
How do I specify sterile and non-sterile packing?
For sterile swabs, specify pads per sealed pouch. For non-sterile pads, specify pads per bulk pack or box. The box illustration shows 200 pads. A documented 7.5 × 7.5 cm four-ply configuration uses 100 pads per pack. Confirm the pack count and carton quantity when requesting a quote.
